View Full Version : DummieQuestion: Fuel valve is open up or down?

the fuel valve on my 185s '83 is confusing me. I downloaded a diagram of an 82(not 83) and it says the off setting is pointing sideways. i thought sideways was on. and down was reserve... im confused. (maybe thats why it keeps dieing) DUH HELP!:drool:

up or douwn should be open sideways is closed off. pointing down is normal fuel level, pointing up is resivore level fuel.

I always thought that down was on and reserve was up. I do know on my 84 200X that sideways is off.
