So i got a 90, and am currently rebuilding the entire engine, so i decided that while i waited for peices parts, i would throw my clunker 110 engine in the frame to have something to play with. heres the catch. 110 has bad rings, intake valve leaks, and the only carb i have for it is for a 90. is it possible to get it to run well consistiantly like this? i had it going good for a little while, but now it has alot of trouble running. have any sugestions twards ignigtion timing/carb adjustments? oh yeah, i think i either wired it wrong, or the condenser is bad aswell, because i'm getting spark between the points at high rpms.... its a 79 110 in a 74 90 frame, and i hooked the black wire coming out of the engine to both the black wires coming out of the coil/whatever, the green wire to the green wire (points) and the yellow wire coming off the stator to the yellow wire coming out of the coil/whatever. did i hook something up wrong? is this just a lost cause?
