a company by the name of Goki made electric start kits for the 200x back it the day

They were discontinued. Goki has no parts for the 200X anymore. Your best bet would be the classifieds or Ebay. Here is a picture of what they look like. I sold this one off my 200X.

Goki made some but they dont make them anymore to my knowledge. If you want to get creative someone was talking about taking the cases off and puttin the cases from a 200e or m or something on instead. It was almost a direct bolt on and you gained an electric start. This was awhile back ago if im not mistaken.

Leevarnado was thinking/working on a fantastic project, mixing and matching some 200CC motors to create a Mega-X :D, not sure if he updated that thread or I missed it but it was a great thought.......

Unless a person is disabled, I just can't see the benefit of ES on a 200CC motor. It's just too much added weight for a motor thats very easy to kick over and should start 1st kick if it's fresh and properly jetted. UNLESS, your stuck with a bad set of kicker gears which are notorious with the 85 and under 200X.

If there is one out there NOW for 185$ and you want one, you can't/won't do much better than that!

I think allot of those 200X's with bad kicker gears are from wear and neglect. When it takes 6-10 kicks to get it running and it's used often, the weakest link is gonna suffer - the kicker gears. And with the kicker gears being in the center case, it's not a good situation.

Sorry for rambling on, I REALLY don't want to go fire up the backhoe and clear this crap.

That Goki kit is for the smaller 200's NOT the 200X. The Goki starter on my 200X worked like a charm. It just wasn't needed for what the trike was to be used for.
I sold mine for cheap and the box got a hole tore in it (thanks UPS) and the flywheel with the ring gear attached was a no show at the buyers house. I called everyone Goki ever sold through. Even tried seeing if the 200 ring gear would work, it wouldn't.

It wouldn't be as simple as using a 200e or 200m cases. The cranks are different on both sides.

Check for leaks around the exhaust gasket, mine leaked bad when I bought it and was horrible to start. With a new exhaust gasket its starts so much better.

don't get an e start engine,/ pull start. keep it simple with the kick starter, my starter motor burnt out and my recoil drum split in half. the e start engines come with plastic internals for their recoils

^ my 200e has metal internals. :P i think i got lucky as it uses the exact same stuff the 200s has, except no stuff for decompression cable. the 83 and up changed to plastic.
