How much is too much to pay for a clean 350X?
I've always wanted one and hope to have one by spring, but it seems like they're awfully expensive these days, compared to what I've remembered seeing them sell for in the past.
The one I've been looking at on craigslist is $1800 obo.

Thats about the going rate here is Northern California.. Sadly. I would'nt personally give more the $1200 for a clean one, after all it is a ATV not a car. But thats my opinion.

That bike looks really clean, if it is low hour and perfect mechanically it is worth about that much, offer $1600 and see what he says.
Dammit!

If he's asking $1800 obo he'd possibly take $1500 which would be a fair price if it looks as good in person as it does in those pics. That mudflap alone is worth $400 or more if it's intact and in great shape. If all the plastics are in great shape, you could ebay them, buy some maiers and have a nice trike with very little net cost.

These are the only details I have...
1986 350X Honda 3 Wheeler, Excellent condition, Starts and runs great, very fast, 6 speed transmission, Most of this bike is still original except I put on a new Barrnet clutch, chain and sprockets, and a front tire, Bike has very few hours on it for its age, Always stored in doors, One small dent in the tank and other than that it still looks new, I love this bike and really don't want to sell it, but I want a 4 wheeler to ride with the kids. $1800.00 OBO

Hmmm not sure I'd want a bike for that much that I know he has taken apart and replaced things himself....ask if a shop took the motor apart or if he did....
Dammit!

I bet when he says new barnett clutch, he means plates/springs. You'd have to try pretty hard to mess that up so I wouldn't worry much about it.
