Im working on a 84 200s for my bro-in-law. Since I cant find a decompression cable I was wondering if you guys knew of a rig to get easier access to it instead of having to reach over the bike everytime. I really wasnt that easy to pull without it to begin with, but now Im puttin a high compression piston in it.

I had a small handle on mine and it would pull my arm out sometimes until I bought a handle with a bigger grip on it. I got the one where your whole hand fits in it and the rope attaches below. It was so easy I thought something had happened to the bike but still great compression and I have a 10.25:1 piston. The one I bought is pretty heavy so I added some more spring tension, thinking of buying a handle for an arctic cat snow mobile as they are lightweight and same idea. Just a thought.

you can get the thumb lever from several years 200/185 and use it. then you don't need the cable.
if you post in the classifieds section for wtb decompression thumb lever, somoene will pop in and offer one up for a good deal.

Im thinking of putting a bolt throught it with a rubber cover so its easier to access.
