i picked up this KEIHIN PJ carb with a power jet,, its bored to 40mm . it has t's on the vent lines so i have no idea where those would go,, or if they are part of the power jet system ,, also it has an air bleed screw on the top of the power jet so i guess it needs to be plumbed to the air box? ihave never used a power jet carb so i am looking for answers,, i highly doubt i will ever use it but i wanted to get it all setup in case someone wants it,,,, the card says " PJ 09 RACE J " on the side of it,,,

Kasey, the power jet pulls fuel from the bowl as It's needed. The small nipple on the bottom of the bowl get's hooked to the power jet. Not sure what they are doing with the tee's In the vent though.

yep i knew that,, it has tee's on the vent lines any reason for that? also it has a screw on the top of the nozzle where you can adjust the amount of air it pulls in too ,,,, so it would pull in unfiltered air right? it limits the amount of vacuum i guess by opening it wider it decreases the amount of vacuum,,,, ?????

The adjuster Is how you adjust the amount of fuel through the Power Jet. I don't think the vent line's are needed for that setup, but It's possable I guess. I would think they were jumped together at the top of the T, and straight down as usual out the bottom. The air flowing through the carb pulls fuel as It's needed. I have a twin setup just like that, They want you to set It up a BIT lean on the main so the power Jet Is able to be adjusted for WOT.

that doesnt look like a regular powerjet to me. considering it has an airbleed makes me think it might be one of these or something similar:

dial a jet is what it is... thanks.. alot of good info on the site... i am a old schooler when it comes to jetting,,, so setting up my trx 4 sizes to lean is out of the question for me!!! i wil depend on my ability to hear what the ebgine is telling me as i have done for years,,,,

Looks like its running a Boyesen super bowl. On my old race bikes I used to take the vents and put T's on like that. The reason is so when your on the gas hard and going over bumps it will let the float bowl vent. It allows the bike to still pull fuel from the bowl without any resistance. You can either loop each side across and down the back or run them up to the air box.

Yes it is dial-a-jet I have used on on my grizzly. from the T' you have a line that drops to the bottom like stock would be, then out of the top another fuel line that goes back to the air inlet side of the carb where the adjustment screw is I can see a little hose barb, it goes there. it pulls fuel from the bowl and introuduces it into the carb using the venture effect which gives you either a lean, or fat fuel mixture If remember I think it only adjust 4 above or 4 below the jet size you have in the carb Now, so if you cant dial the mixture in you still have to change the main jet and start your dialing again. If I left something out or you still have any questions let me know
