Im looking for a Trike, whats the best one to get????

I would like your guys opinions, I have my own, but I would like to get some input on what the best trike to get would be? Definately a sport model, with plenty of power. Please vote!!!

I personally like my 200x but if your looking for alot of power go with the 350x. I like the 250r but personally I would rather own a 4stroke.

BTW.... here is a nice 350x i saw on ebay and if you live close the buy it now price is pretty nice.

I have never had anything other than a honda, I have had a 200s, 82 big red 200, and a 84 big red. So i have no experience with any of the others, my cousin had a tri-z, it was fast as hell, but he had to rebuild it constantly so he got rid of it. Is it true that honda's basically have the most robust engine?

If you want a RELIABLE 2 stroke go with a 85-86 Honda 250R they are by far the most RELIABLE 2 stroke ever built.

If you are fairly new to trikes then the 350X would probably be your best bet. ( thats between the 350X or 250R) dont let the 350x fool ya it has plenty of power it just doesent hit like the 250R. i.e. the 350X has a much more controlable power band than the 250R so its much easer to handle for the inexperianced rider. And both are darn near bullit prof. You cant go wrong if its a Honda.

Im not new to trikes, but I have had more of the "work" trikes & quads, 200s, bigred 200, big red 250, recon 250. This will be my first "sport" quad. I have never ridden a 2 stroke trike before.

I like the way the 86 tecate looks, however the 85 and before look a little..how do i say this without hurting your feelings...pudggie! They look like the r's from 81-82. Basically a 110 with a 2 stroke in it. I would love to get a tecate 3 or 4 86 or 87 model, but they go for too much.

yea, but ill tell you what, they sure move around, they can get my fatarse around really good my friend has an 82 r and...how can i say this without hurting any R owners out there....I **edited** DESTROYED IT no competition, kawasaki made one of the best 2-stroke engines out there, they improved on it in teh 86-87 but the 84-85 will get the best of you sometimes, i didnt like it at first either, but then i rode one and sold my honda immediately for the money for a tecate honda is known, yes for it's 2-strokes but it has more 4-strokes than any other manufacturer

The Honda's are kicking some butt, but its too close to call between the 250r and the 350x. I think I have decided to go with the 350x check out my post in trikesylvania for a pic.

no your not the ONLY one but like the rest of the world your the minority.
the Honda ATC 250R is,was, and shall ever be the King of 3wheelers 2 or 4 stroke.

The tecate motor better then a Honda. well that depends on your point of view. stock vs. stock a tecate was faster but, the Tecate came from the factory at a 90% state of tune and was sold as a racer. the honda came stock at a 75% state of tune and was sold as a all around trike. once they are both modified to there full potential (as 250's) the 250R will smoke the tecate.

I would say this about the whole tecate 250r delimma . Reliabuilty wise ...The Honda . Parts accesabuility ...The honda . Speed is comparable . Allthough I have heard that Tecates are unstable at speed I have never ridden one and cannot comment on that issue . I have this rule of thumb , if all else fails ....take Mr. Atc's advice . That guy really knows his trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro . I've read alot of his posts and he's been in the sport a long time . In the end it boils down to how much money you have in your hot little hand and how far do you you have to drive to pick up your new toy . All the machines you stated that you were interested in are decent bikes . But before you make your decision I would go online and try to find some new aftermarket tecate fenders. Hondas are all over the place .
