Ill swing by the shop and take a pic of my setup tonight. It works well, but if you have to much torque, you might snap it. Ive broke mine twice now, and its not a cheap homemade wheelie bar either.

do you have a extended swingarm? How much power do you have (what mods) I have a 12" extended swingarm on my 250r and the front tire still leaves the ground but mine is setup for Pro Drag, but a extended swingarm would look better than a wheelie bar I think.

This is the bar at the front, where it connects.

This is where it connects at the top. Its just a bracket that slips in where the dog bone connects. You will need a longer bolt for this.

this is looking up, at the bottom back of the swingarm (imagine you just got ran over and your looking at it driving away, this is the view)

Now this part used to bolt onto the bottom skid plate bolts. I broke them 3 or 4 times, and decided to just weld it to the swingarm. Ive broke the weld twice here now, but I think I have it on good this time
This is the top connected.. the bottom looks the same.. Just a couple of bolts with a cotter pin locks them in. That way I can go drag mode anytime I want, and take it off when I wanna get crazy.
This is what makes a wheelie bar a lot better then an extended swingarm. you can take it off anytime you want in 15 seconds.

and what the bottom of the bar looks like. I dont like the tire ones, because I do all my dragging in sand, so no bearings to change, and I get less resistance from this skid plate.

Save these pics if you want them for future reference. I made them big enough to show detail, but they take up a lot of room on my provider, so they will be taken down in one week.
Im not sure what company makes this wheelie bar, but its a nice professional job. Chrome plated and very strong.... cant complain a bit about it.[/img]

your in the right direction for a beast of a 250r. I have all of the mods you have already plus MSD igintion, Ported Reed cage, Drag Port and polish, Hot Rod Crank and Rod. K & N filter 39mm carb (I want a 42 though) so you are in the right direction, I will beat anything as long as it is not running on Alcohol or Nitroeus.
Also you say that you are going to put a Trx crank in? are you going to use the Trx rod too??? The ATC 250r 85-86 and 86 Trx Rods are basically a Long Rod compared to the 87-89 Trx rods. so you will get less stroke (i believe) I think you are better off with the long rod. but just my opinion.
also a good fuel to use is atleast 110 octane or Race fuel. it will add ponys too

the length of the rod has nothing to do with stroke. the 85 86 atc and trx have short rods i am not sure about the 87 trx but the 88-89 trx uses a long rod,,, with the same bore and stroke ,,,, the only difference is the wrist pin location in the piston,,,,, the stroke is determined by the distance from center that the crank pin is,,,,,,,,
