85 225DX oil filter question

I just bought my first 3 wheeler (85 YTM 225DX) and I'm going to restore it. I have a question about the oil filter. I drained the oil and took the old filter out without noting what direction it was in. Could someone tell me which direction the filter goes in? A pic would be great. Thanks for your help!
