I am currently in the middle of updating my 1985 200X and I have put on a rear brake master cylinder and reservoir off of a 2006 HONDA CR 80. My problem is now my brake line that runs from the master to the brake caliper is to short. Any Ideas on what I can do? I'm sure guys that use extended swing arms run into this all the time.

Buy a longer brake line, most hydraulic shops can custom make whatever you need if you bring in the old line.

checked the local auto parts stores by me and all they can do is large hydrolic lines they can not get the correct fittings. Anyone else?

I put together a stainless steel vinyl coated brake line from parts ordered at www.jpcycles.com. I forget what size fittings you need exactly, either 10 or 12mm (I think it goes by the size of the banjo bolt if I remember), but you can get any length you need and any type of fittings for the ends. They are a bit pricey, but should last forever.

Check a place that specalizes in hydraulics, maybe not everywhere has them. But check under hydraulic repair in the yellow pages. They can usually make a nice set in stainless or regular hydraulic line.
