So I painted my 200x front fender and all went well. I applied the clear coat and I can see a very little area where the clear coat looks like it started to run. I don't want to sand all the way back down and paint again so is there any way I can sand the clear coat and just reclear coat over it? I am guessing I need a really fine grit paper and wet sand but not sure which kind/grit to get. It did not run all over just one on the side and top. Not really noticable but none the less I can see it... Any idea would be helpfull.

Also would wet sanding the clear coat make it more shinny/smooth?

tape a razor blade and drag it over the run like your trying to cut it off.. hold the enge of the blade straght with the run and just lightly scrap it tell its even with the rest... make sence???
and for making the finish smooth and shiney, wet sand it with 1500/ 2000 grit.. just to smooth it out, than a medium cut compound with a buffer and wool pad, than a fine cut compund and follow that up with a foam pad using a finishing compund such as race glaze or 3m perfect it

Wet sand it out (the run only) with #1200 micro fine. use a small rubber block and lightly sand away. be careful not to sand through then buff it out( use a buffer) don't burn through. also it all comes down to what you used...automotive paint or SPRAY BOMB. Spray bomb is junk and the clears tend to lift when recoated. just breaking the surface will cause it to happen. I'm not a real big fan of painting plastics but I have seen some that came out of my familys shop that have lasted a few years only because they put some flex agent in the mix before painting. JUST TAKE YOUR TIME AND USE A LIGHT HAND

I would leave it. Its not like the paint is going to stay on anyway. Give it a few rides and youll be repainting the entire fender.
