View Full Version : Size for front fender bolts

hey guys i just recieved a new front fender for my 83 200x and do not have and pre existing 4 bolts to hook the fender up with, i want to go buy some but unsure of the size and length i need. any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Take a look on one of the Honda parts look up sites. The fender's are mounted with rubber grommets and steel sleeves as far as I've seen so you'll need them to properly mount the fender. You can just do it the hack way and bolt it straight to the lower triple clamp but then it won't have any flex. The bolts should be 6mmx1.25 pitch. I'm not sure on the length though. Of course the length for doing it the "right" way will be different than if you do it the hack way.

6mm x 1.0 pitch and probably 25mm/30mm long.
1,25 is for 8 and 10mm most of the time..........

honda likes 1.25 pitch bolts, all of the 8, 10 and 12mm are 1.25 pitch. The swingarm bolt and front axle is 14mm 1.5, axle ends are 18mm 1.5(most honda's) and 85-89 250r/350x are 20mm 1.5.
