When it is at idle the lights are fine, but once I give it gas the lights dim. I tried the search function but didnt help. It is a 125m with electric start but battery is no good so I only pull start it. Im sure this is easy I just dont know where to look. Any suggestions??? Thanks.

My old 200e did that, and the 200m I have now does that same thing. The battery in my 200e was bad, and my 200m only does it if I disconnect the battery.

You know, this could very well be the problem. If the battery is bad but still connected it can cause issues like this.

But my 200m does it with the positive wire of the battery disconnected.

Yeah. Im thinking because its not making a complete circuit. Which with a bad battery its the same thing. Its shorted basically. Usually caused by corrosion in the battery.

plain and simple - if you want it to work right - go buy a battery!
