MY 200x updates

spent time with my boy today so we worked on the wheeler...

traded my stock tank for a ims plastic tank, and had to make a fuel system for it from tank to carb,

cleaned and prepped the wheels and painted them using vht epoxy paint ( same stuff used on struts and springs and suspension parts on cars/trucks) and also got a nice set of stock 200x rear wheels to

and painted the fast trekker letters with a white tire paint pen ( well see if the paint holds up to riding the wheels will but i dont know about the tire pen)

all i have to do yet is get a white front fender

as you can tell im slowly fixing my previous screw ups with it..
i have to finish cleaning up the tank,, prev owner painted it blue

If you get a new front fender pick up an 85/86 250r fender, they fit and look much better .

well if you got such a problem with what he does show something you have that so much better! Not everyone has alot of money to spend on making their trikes super awesome or perfect restos, if you cant put up then shut up. This is comming from someone who can make a trike bad as hell I think hes doing a great job, keep it up homie!:beer

This seems like a perfect time to remind people of a couple things.

1) See those red and green little thumbs up/down on every post? Use them. If you like a post, thumbs up. If not, thumbs down.

2) When you see a post that you feel should be moderated, click on the exclamation point and report it rather than jumping into the argument. We can't be everywhere all of the time.

Edit: and one more thing. If you get an infraction, it isn't the end of the world so don't freak out and argue with the person that gave it to you. The tolerance level for that crap is at an all time low.

yamahaman ( nick) no that is mine.. the one rick got from you i have not got around to getting pictures of it yet although he rode it today and it runs and rides great now!

and i plan on gettin a white front fender just no funds right now ( wife just had a baby saturday) so its not a option just yet.

im not sure how the tire letter paint will hold up, iv used it on cars before and it hold up great but they also dont come incontact with dirt, mud rocks grass weeds, and snow so im not sure how it will hold it
to bad titan didnt make them white letters from the factory like the razrs are

from what i can tell the rear fenders are 86-7 as the dont line up with the tank right ( didnt line up with the stock tank or the ims tank) they were on it when i bought it ( technicly traded one of them 4 wheeler thingys for it) so ill run them tell i can afford the propper fenders, there stained and wont clean up good yet ( im gonna try buffing them)

thanks for the Positive comments, im not showing it off like its the gratest machine out there.. but its a perfect rider and thats what it will allways be is a good strong rider no point it making it 100% mint when it wil be rode and rode hard!!!

oscarmayer yes its a 84... only 'mods' besides looks lol is msr bars scott grips ( much nicer than the stockers) lowered front end, moose?? filter and dg pipe and wheel spacers

yeah most auto parts stores carry it.. its made for the purpose of re coloring raised white letters and white walls.. or changing the color of the letters ( some places carry white red and yellow tire paint pens)
i used this stuff on my 86 cutlass (355 ported vortecs 535 cam air gap long tubes... you get the point) i used it on my mickey thompson et sttreet slicks to re color the lettering on them and the stuff held up to daily driving, washed.. 1-2-3 gear burnouts in the water box

ill cut the fenders to match up to the tank, my angle grinder with a cut off wheel got stolen so il have to borrow one from work or the dremel

you should be able to trim those fenders with a utility knife, a jig saw, or aviator snips - just so you know.

Cool man! lookin pretty decent there! I'm going to get me 200x built and running, then tear it down for the final "pretty" up. I'm going to do a dark blue frame and black plastics! ;) I'm using moose racing stuff where I can (bars, grips, pads, more) and it's gonna look sorta showy, but It'll get ridden for sure!!!

I have some fenders that need fixing but in ok shape. You can have one of the sets if you like for just shipping costs to you. let me know and we'll work something out. I may also have a few other parts you are welcome too as i do my build up, I'm going to get rid of the old extra stuff. So your welcome to any old parts I end up with again for shipping costs.

im also a fan of dark rims on light .. hell even dark cars. gun metal grey was a option.. but my white crown vic p71 with black polish wheels is dead sexy!!
