85-89 250r's use the same rear rotor, I have a Braking wave rotor on one of mine. I have several other stock and "no name" waves also.

If I were you I would replace it with an 85 R rear rotor. those are good replacements :D

I wouldn't hesitate to get an inexpensive one. How much action does the rear brake really see?
