I intend to take my 200 out on the ice this year. Are studs NEEDED to have anyfun or will I be able to play the way it is. I included the pic to show what type of tires I have. These are older pics, the machine is in a little better shape now, I even got rid of the Gatorade bottle and got a real plastic gas tank, thanks to another member here.

Hell no, I rocked my ytm-200 for years with no studs. The best is about 3-5 inches of snow on top of the ice. Then you will have enough to hook up and enough to slide sideways for a long time. You will have a good time with the ol honda out on the ice.

If you have beautiful, smooth, glassy ice; you'll need studs to keep from doing a 180 everytime you go into a corner. Rock it with no studs and you'll probably have more fun trying to keep it from spinning out

I love the gatorade gas tank - one of a kind! Reminds me of a jumper box for a battery and my lawnmower gas tank on my old cb360 back in the day.......Damn alternator didnt work so i had to keep recharging the jumper pack. Needless to say, i went to jail because of that thing :(
