I like many have trashed the end of my pivot bolt trying to get it out of the frame and now I am having a difficult time finding one.

The one in my 250R is a piece of all thread that is the same diameter and cut to length. It's been in there since the trike was redone. I really don't recommend going this route though. I'm gonna replace it soon and really fear what it will look like.

some one was making stainless ones .... little pricy but when it comes to some thing as important as a pivot bolt worth every dime

all-thread?, that swingarm bolt is probably bent. If you are dealing with a 85-89 250r, 400ex and 450r, you can get a new one from lsr for $60. Do it right, the first time. Its alot easier(and cheaper) in the end.

check out mcmastercarr.com

they sell 15mm round stock in chromoly and tool steel that works great for a swingarm bolt.

i have made them before on my lathe using this metal and it works great.

my buddy just bought a 3 foot length of the 15mm tool steel for like $15 and that will make 3 of those bolts normaly. if you get some metal i can make you a bolt.
