ok i must be using the wrong terms or words in my searches because im not finding anyhting..

i think buildin a 2 stroke power valve trike would be great!! since i cant get my buddy to come off that tecate he wants to make into a go cart, and no 200x rollers locally... but early- mid 90s dirt bikes are cheap enough..

I work at a custom fabrication shop and I've been welding/fabricating since 1992. I'd be very interested in making you some items for your project, sounds cool!

P.S. I'm an hour and a half away.

Dirtcrasher did that to his I think, if memory serves me right
His CR500 turned to a trike. Came out hella sweet too!

I don't think DC has ever had a CR 500 trike.

Hi all. I'm a new guy here. Been thinking of doing this very thing with a little KX60. I'm mostly curious where you get the wider triple clamps since the atc70s just flare out. Everything else is a cinch...

I would buy a kit for a 450R or something! Someone should definitely make one.

Thanks! I left him a PM. Just so happens I've found a cheap little kx60 on CL recently too! Maybe this will all come together.

You guys that want to build this stuff pretty much just have to get friendly with your local machine shops. All of us that have built custom stuff have had to do the same thing. There pretty much isn't any limits to what can be built, but there aren't really off-the-shelf parts available to do much of anything in this line of customizing.

i figured that much
.. just didnt know if anyone/ someone figured out what ' off the shelf parts can be used to make a 'safe machine'

i know aguy that works at amachine shop.. gotta find out if he is able to make some parts.. gotta guy lined up for the swingarm,

if all else fails.. ( dont flame me for this) i will find a 200x roller and stuff a 2 stroke in it.. 400-500cc

400-500 in a 200x? little to big buddy! to small of a chassis in my op.. 200x is good for a 125 or a 200 but 500 is way to monsterous! plus need room for rads and monster pipe....etc etc... in the end you would have been better off making a new trike.

Its not as hard as some people may think it is. Its all about planning ahead to fidgure out what is going to fit or may fit. Lots of buying and testing/trying new things. I can tell you that you can make a trx450r swingarm fit about anything, just have to fine tune on linkage. Once you get a roller then the hard part is done. As far a triples go jason hall has a really really nice setup that you might talk to him about(dont know if hell be able to modify it for a cr frame or not without the frame there).
Just start it and go from there. Youll find all kinds of help around here and around your town when you start talking to people.

I understand that or I wouldnt have stuffed a ninja motor in a tri-z or made a 500R but a 200x is still to small to be fun and realativly safe with a large motor in it
