Hey Manny, I have 1978 DT 175 Yamaha I've had since about 87 or 88. When I first got it way back then, I was riding out in a pasture and tried to cross a piece of oil-field poly pipe at an angle. wasn't smart. lol. It wiped me out and tweaked the skinny forks on that bike. They were slightly bent, so I rode it several times after that before I replaced the forks. If I jumped it, half the time I had to stop, lay the bike on its side and pull on the front wheel to get it to return from full compression. After that I put a big-@$$ 79 or 80 YZ 250 front end on it!

Get those forks fixed! lol!

if you want to improve it, 83-85 200X front end will fit right on. you'll get the skinnier better handling front tire and better forks. and it won't sit much higher

Take the wheel off, rotate your forks 180 degrees in the triple clamp, put the wheel back on, and run it about 25mph into a tree, and they should be straight again.

LMAO :D :D

...The funny thing is....I did that on my Foreman to straighten out the front bumper. Good as new now. It would be worth a try Manny since you're planning on getting new ones....
