My 1985 honda atc 250r rear brake is sticking I have to lift it up for it to release the brake all the way any idea what might be causing this? Thks>

The caliper probably needs a rebuild.
if you have to lift the trike to release it, your rear brake hose may be pinched or damaged

Sorry I meant lift the brake pedal.

Is the return spring lifting the pedal back up? If it's not and you have too lift it by hand you need a stronger spring.
Sounds like you have rust built up in the pedal where it mounts thru the frame, or the arm that bolts on the back side of the arm and frame is bent and hitting the frame.
I would guess, it is rust and grime in that hole that the pedal passes thru on the frame.
Take it out, clean it and the frame hole real good, wire wheel the brake arm pivot and grease it up.

Did you bleed the brakes at all, causing air to get in the lines perhaps as well as that sticky pedal?

clean the moveable parts and oil.make sure everything is moving free.
