hey I'm picking up a honda 90 this afternoon running and ready to ride. prob is I'm 240lb, now i'm not looking to go mudding or hill climbs or anything like that just wanted to tool around a bit on some packed dirt wooded trails I want to know if I take it easy do risk ruining anything like the clutch/trans/engine? I've only been on 200's so I don't know how these lil guys do.

I'd be willing to bet the 'lil bugger would haul you around.

a 70 will haul my big but up to 38mph with just a gearing swap for LESS torque. You'll be fine.

I've also stuck my leg out in front of the 70...and pushed a 250r all the way back the house from the trails. so it pushed myself, another rider, and another bike.... got into the bottom of third.

change your sprocket ratio, youll lose top end but gain torque.

It should have plenty of power to move you around. Are you in low or high range?

I was just gonna say that....remember the subtrans, you can put it in low and get a lot more power. I'm 210lbs, and my 90 will pull me up a pretty good sized hill in low range.

Also make sure that your clutch is properly adjusted.

The atc 90 was designed for anyone so I would say your safe, its a honda and they make good stuff. I'm a kawasaki guy but, those 90's started it all and if they didn't make people happy then you wouldn't see all the 3 wheelers you do today.

I'm 250 lbs and both my 90 and 110 will haul me around in low range through all gears but I can't leave first gear in high. :P

If you are too worried, get a big Lifan for it...
