Well, I have been looking for a while. Had the itch for a new trike. I have an R, and that is plain scary, a 84 BR that is a great and dependable trike but I needed a 3rd to complete the fold. I had plans for a misslile as far as a new project but with a rokon in the fold, it was hard to justify atm. So I needed a small bike. I was even lookin at Edogs 90 that he had customized a couple of years ago. It still looks great on some of the pics but I already have a 'stupid fast' bike and a hardtail that is close in size. I wanted something different. A 70 dropped on CL today and I went to take a look.
300 bucks, runs on first pull after sitting for 4 months (no lie as he had 3 flat tires and it was buried in shed) Came with a second motor. Seat is good, tank so/so, plastic sorta ugly but not cracked/broken. Took it for a spin at home..man o man these things are fun!!!!
Also got to use the new 'winter truck' to hall the load. I usually get a junker but the wife talked me out of it this year.

Life for you will never be the same now! LOL If you think it's fun now, just wait till you put a 124 or larger in there!!!!! Now when you can talk the neighbor into getting one, that's when the real fun starts! LOL

a 124? heck i hopped on and practically ran into the side of the house...it seems the rear 'ballast' is greater than the tendency to steer, must lean.......

how many broken bones, lost teeth and severe burns occur in the average 'death match?'

^ It was a "one line" track, THATS the issue...... Now pry baring your 70 into place is possible, along with the tree, rocks and big stump..... :D

thats a good looking trike ya got there. i really love the ytm 200 its really fun to ride. im curious what makes a 70 different than like a 200 other than its super small and a smaller engine. is it comfortable for a 5' 9" 200 lb guy to ride one??? i can remember out growing my zuki 90 when i was 12 then got a 200 bayou it was like night and day as far as comfortable riding. im not raggin on them cause i never riden one. yall have peaked my interest on a 70. please fill me in.

well i have a total of 20 min ride time, there are much greater experts here..but as far as 'comfort' goes..
I am 5 11, 195lbs...it would haul around pretty good, small machine, closer to the ground..you probably feel like you are going faster than you are. The handlebars are a bit close..and were banging me in the knees a bit. That should be simple to move outward a bit. I would never call it comfortable to ride..but that seems like half the fun, sorta like sitting on a barstool racer or gokart but with the trike lean action. You are right...my stable is complete and there is no goin back.

I just picked up one of these minis as well - stuffed in the corner of the garage until my tecate and R are fixed up first.
I foresee a mini race series in New England. Call it the heineken series.......:beer
It would be cool if we all put the same size motor upgrades in them and race on some flat track tires. I want a 150cc but it would be smokin......
Nice rig. Congrats....:w00t:

^ TRUE THAT!! If all I had were the 350X and a couple of 70's, I'd be just fine :D
I also wish we COULD keep them close in displacement, or we'll just have a runaway......... At which point sticks and stones will most certainly break bones :D

I havent ridden it yet. Gotta fix a "no spark" issue first. Its calling me.....
DC - so since deepa already did the 88cc. i think we all strive for that. Those kits dont seem to bad in price.

well, found another 70 and a few bonus items...the guy had a z50 mini trail bike He had swapped out the atc motor for the CT motor so his small kid could ride the ATC. He still had the atc engine but it needed a pull start. He had a new pull start but never installed it. I got the minibike, and the atc, extra head and pullstart and a bunch of chain/sprocket/pillowblocks for previous gokart projects he had done. Only thing missing is the ATC tank, the Z50 tank was taped to the ATC, gotta love duct tape. All for 100 bucks..craigslist pics below. I know nothing of the z50, it seems that they are quite desireable. restore or sell....ponder

Shipping would prob be in the 300-400 range and so would the price of the little guy .
Its in better than average condition , 85 model .
I bought the 70 for my daughter but she would rather ride the trizinger 60 :w00t: . PM me if you need to so were not clogging up this thread .:D :banned:

and back to my haul, lookin at this minibike..it sure is cute. Someone put a booger of a weld on one spot on the frame. Hurts my eyes, looks like my old brazing with a clothes hanger days. Otherwise it is in good shape. It seems the gas tank is worth the price of the whole lot, forget about forks/fenders/seat/wheels and tires, brakes etc..ponder..fix or sell. I guess i will tear into the ATC first and get the 50 cc motor out of it and decide then
