Hi there, i am wondering what model this is ;
http://puppas.se/tmp/atc.jpg
I'm sorry that i dont have a better picture of it, i have not had a chance to take a closer look at it. The only thing i know is that it is the 200cc version, but there are a few models to choose from i've noticed. So i hope that you guys can help me =)
If all goes well i will meet with the owner next week and hopefully buy it, until then i'm just sneeking around his yard taking blurry photos of it :lol:
Thankful for any help at all.

Looks like an 84 big red to me. (the 200cc version) Whats the asking price? it looks to be in pretty decent shape.. and that hondaline speedo is a BIG plus! ;)

It could be 200es big red if it has a reverse lever by the pull start, if not 200e. More than likely, big red though.

Allright, Big Red, got it, thanks =)
I went over to the owner the other night and asked him if it was at all possible to buy it, and i got a good feeling. He is going to talk to his kid first and check if he wanted to keep it.
When he told me that it has just been standing "abandoned" for over a year my hopes went up, so i will pay him a visit next week. Would go sooner but my schedule at work got in the way..
If all goes well and i buy it the plan is to get it fixed up as much as possible.
More questions ;
How much power does the Big Red put out ?
If the engine is totally broken, i was thinking of buying one of these and replacing the original engine with ;

Looks lite it will fit bolt on right ? And i know i am going to hell for doing that :)

well. your not going to break any land speed records with that trike if thats what your wondering. :D it's a utilitly trike. but still loads of fun and pretty much a bulletproof tank with regular routine maintenance.
I'd stick with the original motor if at all possible. Alot of guys have been running those lifan motors lately,, and I hear good things about them. but nothings better than the powerplant thats all ready in there.

Haha, no i was not planning to =P
I was just wondering the about the power in case i "have to" change to a Lifan engine, what the difference in hp will be, if any.
I do hope that the original engine is not to shabby and will be restored for a small sum...BUT, if it is not so, do you guys know if the Lifan do fit quite easily ?
And thanks for the welcoming !

Well the motor has a high and low range on it. It gives the big red the power down low to tow and pull things around. If you changed that with another motor, I dont think it would do the same trike at all, putting another motor, like a lifan, wouldnt give you the low end grunt these babies were known for, but it would give you more top end power.
I will really look into that engine you have, as hondas are known to be bullet proof. If its trashed, the 200cc motors arent stupid high dollar, so you might get a nice running motor cheap.

Alot of those lifan motors are direct drop in's... From what I have heard the lifan motors run well, and make decent power, but do not last as long as the original Honda motors... I believe you should be able to get one with electric start and everything...

thats an 83 200e notice the high low box is angled and not as large as the 200es, so that trike will have no reverse just hi low and e start

i think you would run into problems using the lifan motor in a 200m or a 200e they run a different output shaft ..... i don't know for sure just something to think about

I agree with daniel_250r, 83 200e. You can also see the chain guard on the back axel. 84 200es was shaft drive.

Thank you for the inputs !
Getting a "new" Honda engine for that model here in Sweden will not be so easy i'm afraid =/
Well now that i know what model it is, i will begin checking out different parts for it.
I just HOPE, that the old man will sell it to me. If not, crap... I'll write next week when i know, thanks again guys !
