200x starting problem

my 86 200x was running and starting fine until today...it will only fire a little bit with the kicksart an then die the only way i cant get it running right is pushing it down a hill then popping it in gear then when it runs its backfireing alot and burns oil pretty bad i know its not the carb beacause i put it on my other 200x and it runs fine so could this all be due to low compression? my other question is i have a 85 200x would the motor off that bolt up to the 86??

The motors dont interchange between the 85/86 their a totally different set up . your 86 sounds like it jumped a tooth on the timing and for the smoking you probably need the top end rebuilt .

what all can be swaped over....because the 85 needs new axle bearing and the shock is bad and the seat and tank are shot so would those things swap over
