valve spring compressor

Hey there.. I ordered and recieved a top end gasket kit for my YTM200. Bought the whole thing because i needed the valve seals. will i need a valve spring compressor for this job? Or can i do it with fingers..

Fingers will work but it will be hard. I did it on my 350x. I used a cresent wrench to put pressure on springs and son used a magnet to get them out. Putting them back on I used my fingers.

Ive done it with fingers also.

I made my own compressor with a c-clamp and a socket with the side cut out. Works pretty slick.
