Another member wanted to see my other garage stuff from some pictures I've posted. Nosey buger!
I too am always on the hunt for cool items in the background of photos. Neat to see people's stuff.
Lets make this thread kind of like MTV's "CRIBS", but of everyone's shop or garage (or shed, car port ....whatever) Lets see where you bust your knuckles!

Here's a few pics of my mess of a garage to get things started. Tooo many irons in the fire.

SORRY FOR THE HUGE PICS!

Funny! My posted outdoor shot is from last year in mid November. I just posted any and all garage pictures I had on file. Some present and some from years past. No snow here yet. It was 60 degrees here too yesterday!

RacerXXX-

I really only have two blast cabinets. The small gray one is used with crushed walnut shells. The other red one is a Harbor Freight model. I wanted to make it bigger, so I just bought another one and grafted the two together. It works great and is on the cheap. I have $400 in the pair of conjoined red cabinets. My oven never really had "plans" to pass along. I kind of just drempt it up and built it from scratch with help from this site: http://forum.caswellplating.com/oven-building-forum/ I spent about 2K and 13 months building the Frankenstein oven. It was a LOT of work, but well worth the long headache.

Bunnyhop-

You are correct. I managed to get an NOS Mugen fork kit from a member over at .org!:w00t:

There is just something warm and inviting about an old wood barn or shed. I love the rough look of it. Not to mention the sweet group of trikes that call it home! I could see just sitting in there drink'n beer, & tinkering with the Tri-Z's. Pass me a beer!

Here is "mine". When I move out of my parents house I will have the weirdest tool collection, cylinder hone - check, impact wrench - check, tap set - check, flat tip screwdriver - nope! Actually I have been using my craftsman club a bit over the last few months building my own tool collection for when I have my one place. Anyways, here is where I currently work..... well my blasting cabinet is at work since they have the big compressor (and it gives me something to do during lunch).

2-1/2 car garage that holds 2 cars a motorcycle, and either a snowblower or another motorcycle.

Ill get a picture of the outside for you. There is also another barn on the property that is bigger. But it has no electric and dirt floors. Can you believe I had 20 trikes in there at one time!!! I have a picture of the complete ones in the yard.Heres what I use to have at one time. 86 350x,85 Big Red,2-85 250r,2-81 250r,84 110,84 125m,3-US90,3-atc70,2-84 Tri-Zingers,85 200x,These were kept inside.I had a suzuki 185,185s,2-200x were just complete non-running parts bike. That was the most trikes I had at one time.... Now I am down to 6 keeper trikes!! I wish I could find all the pictures of when the barn was packed!! O ya,there was an 85 YZ250 and 2 87 moto-4 80's crammed in there too.I had no where to work.I have since gotten help for my disease!!!!!

The red barn has a dirt floor and needs lots of repairs. The really old looking barn is the one I use.Roof leaks, concrete is heaving all over, ridge is about a foot sagging. But is keeps most elements out.Too bad the landlord wont do anywork to them.In a few years they will be on the ground from rottted beams.O well....

You guys gotta bear with me here... I just moved into this house about a month and a half ago and I haven't gotten the garage straightened out yet. The "addition" on the right side of the garage is being torn down this week and completely rebuilt with a full garage door. I need to build workbenches and shelving, but I can't do it until the right side of the garage is rebuilt. I do not keep my stuff like this and I do not work like this. I can't stand messes. The only thing I've worked on in this mess is my snowmobile because I don't have a choice. I had to rebuild my sled now or else it wouldn't be ready in time for the snow. This should be a good "before and after" thing because I can post updated pics once I get the garage in better order.

http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r275/fabiodriven/Garage/Garage004.jpg

Here's my Zinger, and in the crate next to it is my Tecate 500 engine. I was just about to get the 500 together when I had to move so now it's a basket case. That's my arc welder.
http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r275/fabiodriven/Garage/Garage005.jpg

These are my Bobcat snow throwers. They are the absolute balls. They're from the late 60's. One is a 5 horse and the other is an 8. They throw snow over the wires in the street. Truly awesome. There are no safety items on them and they'll take your hand off and finish clearing the driveway themselves. They don't make em like that anymore. The 86 Tecate is in the back there too.
http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r275/fabiodriven/Garage/Garage006.jpg

I am almost done with the sled. Every major component on this thing was wiped out. It needed crank seals, a track, a couple bogies, chaincase bearings, seat and tank covers, and all the track guiding stuff was wiped out. I also put a set of AAEN pipes on it.

Hey atcquebec - I love how you have all your trikes labeled. I want to do the same thing with mine - but rather use something like a cardboard card around the handlebars - something you might see at the dealership or something. I must clean my garage - and snap a few photos. Hopefully this weekend I can get my 2 tiered rack put together and then I want to post up.

Buster brown, your garage, and tools are the trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro!! But I am still drooling over the 86 87 88 250r's, sooo jelous man!! when I was 13-14 years old, I was saving for a new toy, and i was dreaming about that 88 250r with the all red plastics! I wanted that something fierce. Then my dad comes home one day with an 89 xr600r for me! I was dissapointed at first, but grew to love that bike fast. Still got it too, check the bike forum soon for pics of that resto. Everyone else, has nice garages too. Wish I went bigger with mine! Quebec, yours doesnt qualify, thats a museum where you can eat off the floor for crying out loud!!

Here's the deal with the stack -a- quad racks.
I drive all night for work and have to much time on my hands to sit & visualize this weird stuff in my head. So, I guess pictures are worth a thousand words. I'll just post some pics up and let you fire away if you need to. I use a simple handyman high lift jack to lift from either side. The platform is built to float on the two side lift rails. Just pin each side corner then go to the other side and lift. Its slow, but simple and inexpensive. I've got about $200 in materials and about 8hrs of labor in each rack. They will flex a bit until the front diagonal brace is bolted on. Then they are solid as heck. I climb up on them to check stuff, or look at something with no twisting or flex. The platform wood is braced from the underside and formed with 2X4s so it can only float so far and not fall out. They look kinda crude, but have worked quite well for me.

I was toying around with the idea of a pulley system, but thought to just use the (KISS) theory. I was afraid that pulleys and cable might stress the frame, bind up, or jump off track. It should work though, if built rite. I seem to get screwed up when I make things complicated. Keep It Simple Stupid works for me! ;)
Good luck!:beer

Alright here goes, My father and I built this @ my place in 05'. 20X30 13' Ceiling, 2nd story on top w/ 3' knee walls, and about 7' clearance down the peak. Enough goodies for fabrication and mods, welders, plasma cutter, red wrenches, chop saw Knee mill W/ DRO, compressor, arbor press, 2 post lift, hoist for the mezzanine, powder coating oven. Creature comforts, HEAT, Verizon FIOS TV, Wireless internet, Phone, Sirius radio. Racks are for my actual "JOB". All packed in comfortably--- meaning I need to thin out the chit.

For those guys looking for the Stack-A-Quad, I've included some pics of my sons moonbounce-- it weighs in @ around 350 LBS. Hoist is from Harbor Freight----I Know, I know--it's Junk, guess what WRONG! Rated @ 1100 LBS with a double line pull, I have it bolted thru my "metal joists" on a sliding barn door track and it works like a champ. Just some thing for some of you guys to think of for some stacking, on sale with a coupon for under $90 bucks!

All of this tucked away in a sub-division on 3/4 acre, talk about variances:crazy: 15' from the poolside:D

Awesome shop.

Thanks MM,

It's as big as I was allowed to build.Only allowed to build on something like 20% (I'm on 23% with the varience) of my dirt that includes my house, driveways, pool, and of course my sidewalks that the township mandates. Now to sneak in a 200 SQFT. shed:beer

Some really awesome shops guys, here's a couple pics of mine. We have only owned the house for about 8 months now so I am working on changing some things around in the garage to better suit me. The previous owner was a cabinet maker and for some reason he had the garage divided up with walls, it was wierd, I wish i had taken pics of it before I tore it apart. Anyway as you can see I got it all opened up, just a matter of optimizing my space, need to build some shelves to store some things, and there is a loft that needs to be rearranged as things just kept getting tossed up there as I was moving in, as well as while I have been cleaning the main part of the garage.
Before me and my wife moved in here we lived in a one bedroom appartment so just having a garage is a huge deal to me, let alone all the space we have in the house.
Anyways, on with the show, here's the pics, thanks for looking!

Missing from the photos is 2 more atc70 parts bikes, and an 86 big red that I have stored at my parents place. And yes it is easy to tell I am addicted to 70's. I first got the itch for a 70 after seeing a pic of Kasey's sl70 conversion (I think it's a sl70 conversion). So now when my wife complains that I have a problem I just say "it's Kasey's fault, he got me hooked" (i am very sorry Kasey for dragging you into this lol).
My inlaws have a cottage where there is lots of space to ride the bikes, I like to take 5 of my 70's down and invite our friends and we will ride the 70's all day. I have to admit I enjoy riding the 70's as much or more than I like getting the tri z or the banshee out. Even the wife has grown to love riding the 70's, which is someting that I never thought would happen, but over the last couple years she has really taken a liking to my hobby, which makes it even more enjoyable.
Sorry for all the rambling.

How do ya'll store that many trikes and keep them in good condition? Do you keep them full of gas with seafoam? Keep them coated on the outside with wd 40?
I have a 2 70's only one runs and just bought a 1984 200s(current project). I don't want to keep gas in the 70 that doesn't run or the 200 tank till I'm done fixing it up. I've been putting Marvel Mystry oil in the tank shaking it around and puting a teaspoon in the cylinder. Spraying the metal parts with WD40 and spraying the plastics with SC1. Does this sound OK?

that will show u more of the individual tools etc. I enjoy buying junk, fixing it and selling it. Most of the tools were aquired in that fashion. Under the 'toys' section are my 3 wheelers..missing the new 70, I have to upload those pics. The shop doors are always open if someone needs to come by and make something.
