This might be a bit hard for you if you've never done it before. You need a manual first of all so you read it over and over and it may include pics of the process. Anyway, the valve caps are in front ot the intake manifold (intake valve) and in front of the exhaust (exhaust valve). Remove the caps and you will see the valves and part of the rocker arms. You will need a set of filler tabs to check and adjust them. The usual filler gap for adjusting the valves is .005 on an inch. Loosen the valve locking nut on top and place the filler tab between the valve seat and pad. There is a little tiny screw that has a square head on the very top over the lock nut. If the filler tab won't go between the pad, loosen this screw until it goes in between. Then tighten the screw until it is barely touching the filler and then back it off just a little. You should be able to pull the filler out and push it in without any problems if you have it adjusted right. You don't want them to tight or too loose. After you have them adjusted correctly, tighten the lock nut and be sure the little adjusting screw DOES NOT move. Put the cap back on and repeat this process for the other valve. This might take some time to figure out but you will eventually get it. Hope this helps,
