hello, im new on here and I dont want to get scolded for making a thread..I live in OC, CA , and was wondering how to get a nice swingarm for my 82. I tried looking on other threads, and noticed others with DG and White Bros, or even Pro-Link. Is there any websites that i can be pointed towards, to purchase an aftermarket swing arm. Thanx

I looked and noticed a few for 85's and 86's; I asked a few people last night if those years would work on an 82 frame and they said I might as well get a new bike.. But I will not give up =)

No one is making aftermarket arms for the early bikes that I am aware of. Your best bet is to keep watching ebay and hope an old school one will pop up.

Incidentally, I have the capabilities of building an arm, but the time and materials involved to build the fixture for just one part isn't justifiable. If a couple of other guys wanted one though and would actually put their money where their mouths are I would probably do it. I have some pics of the 85-86 style arms I'm making and the new product R&D forum.

well thank you guys much.. I was thinking of doing the same, my buddy and I do hot rods, so fabricating would'nt be an issue. I'll check the pics out.. I wonder if a swing arm from a later year could be easily fabricated into the 82, or possibly a clean fit.. I just recently started putting hours into this atc, after riding my 83 I forgot about the 82 just sitting.
