Am wondering if the adjustable shock linkage (I believe its from an 86/87) is a direct swap to the 85?

It does fit. You have to do a little shimming with a couple big washers because the 86 link is a little bit narrower than the 85. I run an 86 in my 85.

I used this one on the stock steel swing arm and now have it on the 86 alu swing arm I currently use on my 84/85 T-3
Yep, I need to get the locking nuts too. Work using loc tight this season but,,,
I am thinking I need to adjust mine out farther or use a longer adjusting bolt to put more pre-load on mine using the 300ex.
I will be playing with that suspension work after I get my 86 alu back from being welded.
