Can you remove the flywheel cover without removing the engine from the frame?

I will glance over my manual in a moment but it seems to me you can.
It might be such that you need to rock the motor up a wee bit. For some reason that comes to mind.

Yes, Honda manual says clutches can be removed with engine in frame so the side case should also be able to be removed in frame (since clutches are behind the side case).

Yes you can but you will have to work it out some. I personally loosen up the motor mounts so you can "jimmy" the motor around alittle and give you more room.

yah cluthes are on opposite side from flywheel (right) . Right side can come off easily, not sure about the flywheel side (left).
