I have no clue about getting a front tire for my 84 Tecate. Where can you find a tire like this?

All I can say is good luck! LOL> These tires are a weird size, they are 22 inches tall, with a 11 inch rim, but they are 10 inches wide. I doubt anyone makes a tire like this anymore at all. You could get a used one, or possibly try getting a oem one from kawasaki, I figure they are discontinued, but who knows. Here is the part number for it

41002-1437

I looked it up at cycle parts, and it's 220 bucks, so for that amount, you could probably convert the whole front end over to the newer style 86 or something if you wanted to, but there again, it is a weird size too at 9 inches wide haha!

just checked ebay...here is what you need!

alright!!!! thanks for finding that! I just picked it up, my bro was concerned the olny tire he could get was a front max, not that we dont like them, we run them on our X's, but the oem dunlop is cool, and for $35 shipped, its a steal!

funny thing is, I hit "buy it now" called my brother, made a drink, and came back over to the comp. to gloat, and you had just posted, Jeb! I guess I did get lucky. I did hesitate for about 3 seconds before I just bought it. I hope it is as nice as it sounds. Anyone want to buy a slightly used OEM front Dunlop for 85 Tecate???? Actually a pretty nice low hour tire. $50????? any takers?????? LOLOLOLOL :D

ahhh but then you are destroying all that is holy
lol a honda rim indeed haha

Good score on the tire! That was a great deal. I still say that the other 20 dollar one is a pretty good deal, if someone needed a good rim as well. If anyone else that is interested, James lucky has some old school trike stuff in the clearance section, I went there today when I saw someone mention the cheap plastic theyve got there. I saw a bassini yt175 pipe for 60 bucks!!, as well as terrycable kits for 35 bucks for the atc 185s and dx225s, (I assume this was the fork upgrade kits or something, but it could be throttles or something I guess it wasn't clear) I also saw a couple tankcovers, for the atc 110s and 90s. I can't remember all what else was there, some pretty neat stuff though that you won't be finding anywhere else anytime soon.

I like to rely on others to find my parts. Usually, I just check the board and someone posts a link to something I need.

Did you ever get that 125 Tiger out of Arkansas or wherever??? That was a nice find. You must spend alot of time on the web, or have some good searching skills!

I fail to see what you gain by switching rims. last I checked both 86/87 Tecates and 85/86 ATC 250Rs had 11" front rims????????????????? (23x9-11 & 23.5x8-11, respectively) It never was a strange size like the 84/85. Regardless of honda or kawasaki rims, A front tire for an 85/86 R will fit a 86/87 KXT

"]Yea i've bought from catsmuffin and he is good...

Glad to hear that! I just bought some stuff from him and have payed and am awaiting arrival of the parts. I have to admit I was a little bit unhappy with his shipping costs. But the price for the parts was pretty good so I don't let it hurt anything.
