200x motor split help needed!!!

hey guys i want to split my 85 200x motor today and fix the kickergears. My question is on the splititself, i have never done this beore i am mechanically inclined just unfamiliar on what to expect. is the process pretty straight forward? how much needs to be taken apart. is reassembling trickey or is it just lining the markers up on the gears. Any help is appreciated guys thanks!!!

85 kicker gears are buried deep in the center case. The motor has to come out, top end removed and the center case split.....

Lots of parts in there, one mistake and it has to done - AGAIN.

Download the service manual and have at it....

DC's correct. The kicker main gear and return springs are in the cases. You will have to pull the motor and completely dissassemble it. I've done it several times. Very simple as long as you don't scatter things all over. Step by step is the way to go. If you were closer I'd help ya. I have a case splitter and I'll tell ya, It keeps everything in place when ya split them cases. Make sure you have a manual handy.
