Hey guys.....ok its time to replace that damn kicker gear we all love! I have a new used one thats in new condition from a donor motor. My questions are how easy is it to split this motor and replace the gear. Is it as easy as pull apart replace and put back together, or do i need special tools and know how to remove certain parts certian ways. I am mechanically inclined so im really just lookin to see if there is any secrets or warnings! I know this has been talked about millions of times, any help is appreciated you guys rock i love this site!!!

You just cut the teeth so they have an angle on them so when the teeth are engaged they can't jump out. I will be doing mine here in the next few weeks at school, I will take pic's of the machining procedure. I'm just busy with one hundred other projects right now and don't have time to get it done just yet.
