Hey guys,
I'm having troubles installing new swing arm bearings in my 1981 250R. It's not the rear axle bearings. But the bearings in the front of the swing arm. How do you put them in without breaking them? any helps appreciated.
Thanks,

Without a press find a socket of just slightly smaller than the outside diameter of the needle bearing, then a larger socket than the hole your going into. Using a piece of threaded rod or a long bolt place them in order- large socket-swingarm housing-bearing- small fitting socket and pull it into the housing by tightening the bolt. Make sure the inside of the swingarm bore is clean and no burrs or metal high spots from smashing them out, you can even place grease on the outside of the bearing to help it enter the housing. Load this up with good waterproof grease and keep eveything clean. Reusing the pin is ok if it's in good shape otherwise your bearings won'r last long. Never whack ANY bearings in with force - you will damage them and face it, you don't want to do this again!
