Well it looks like it came from somethings @ss but it runs and it's mine. I will need tons of parts and even more advice but I got time.
The frame is an 84. The engine has a different jug on it since the color is different.
Other than that I haven't looked much closer at it. I'm a little scared to find out all that's wrong with this beast.
I will say it's a bad idea to run an R with no clutch and no brakes. Man am I glad the highway was empty because I ended up in the middle of it before I got it stopped. Kids and their toys. At least now I can be SPD FRK again.

Man does this thing need parts!
What should I expect to pay for ALL the control levers for an 84R? Including, foot brakes, hand brakes, and clutch.

I also need both brake sets (I think I have a rear caliper /w park brake) and 1 rear tire. Of course that means 2 tires. I won't even get into plastic.

I'm in Alberta Canada which will make a difference in prices of course.

Anyone out there able to help? I need to collect some pennies so I need to know my goal first.

I'm still working on a complete list but those will get me rolling.

The trike runs (and sounds solid) but it won't move without brakes, clutch and a shift lever.
I did take it for a 10-20 second run by rolling it down a small hill and shifting to first. I'm lucky the throttle didn't stick. It seems to have more gitty-up than my old '86R. I was thrilled and scared. Digging into this trike may reveal some secrets. 20 seconds doesn't tell a lot but I think it may have some work done. Engine colors don't match. I don't know. I just want to ride after 14 years off.

I want to save this trike and ride it until one of us dies.

Congrats! I too know how you feel. I bought a basket case Tri-Z and have spent the last 6 months bringing it back from the dead. The classifieds and ebay are going to be your best place to source parts. Check both daily if you can so you don't miss out :beer

IMO, I would find another and use either one as a parts bike and make one solid machine
