Does anyone use them?
I have a chance to get a set for 45.00 and want to know if they are nice to have installed or not worth the money.
How does it feel to ride with them?
I want to powder them black and Gray webbing.

Are you positive they fit a 3 wheeler? That looks like a 4 wheeler to me.

What makes you think that? The front tire can be seen dead center in front of the chassis....

I wouldn't use them at glamis on an ATC. Keep that baby light for the sand. I wonder when you are on 2 wheels if it would drag on the ground?

5lb nerf system is not going to hurt anything...

I though about sharpening my foot pegs at one point. Then I thought of injuries like that!

I used to have them on my R,
I took them off for a few reasons. Back when I used to ride in trails with them they got caught up alot and the other main reason is I once cased a jump while racing MX. I came off really cock eyed and off camber, im pretty sure I woulda been able to ride it out but the fact that the nerfs stuck out more just made it more painful.
Its all personal choice, I race with some guys and they wont run without them. Me on the other hand, im still not sure....

I can see that for sure. It could sling you all sideways too.

I have a set like that for a 185cc but mine are all metal, non of that netting stuff, found them a pain for trails when hunting as I would get snagged all the time

I just use the hondaline foot fences as they keep you from going backwards into the fender. But I have to agree, I want to be able to drop my foot off If necessary to save myself.

Ouch that leg!
I want to put them on my ice R, to protect me from collisions, and help keep my leg away from the 90mph spinning studs, of which I got caught up in last year. Like sticking your leg in a blender.

Found this old thread while looking for nerf bar setups for my R. Never once did anyone mention to maybe wear riding boots to prevent this type of injury?? Amazing........... Another good thread to look at next time you and your buddies roll out with tennis shoes or work boots for that quick ride out back!! That had to hurt..........

If I had a set of nerfs on my KFX 400, my leg wouldn't have a six inch long scar.
