Didn't buy $800 250r

Last night I looked at an '85 250r. it was in decent shape, needed all the normal stuff. also he said new rings, it had a factory cylinder with 310cc sleave. He couldn't find rings for it. I thought this may be a can of worms
needing a new cyl and piston, what if the cases were machined for the big piston, and it turns into a big mess so I'm gonna keep looking. It is in Brunswick ME if anyone is interested.

that still is not a bad deal. offer him $600 and see what happens. i have a stock standard for cylinder i would make you a good deal on. you could have a new topend for $150 or so. if the plastic is good and the headlight is on it, buy it.

he wouldn't go below $800, it was worth it but not exactly what I was looking for. I'm not pressed for a new machine so I'm gonna be patient.
