9 inch gold wheel question...

I see two different styles. One has a small lip and the other has a large rolled lip. I figured it was a 85/86 thing, but when I scanned through the Honda brochure page, it looks like both the 85 and 86 had the small lip wheels. Just curious.

pretty sure on this one but correct me if im wrong.
85 and 86 atc used the lip from the factory and 86 and 87 trx used the rolled lip.
