i'm selling my 2001 blaster to start my 350x project but a guy just offerd a 85 200x that smokes and has a cracked rear fender, tank and seat look great has cobra muffler. and a 1983 200s that looks a little beat he says that runs but not good, thinks it might be carb.
and hes got a auto200 for a autox but it needs to be rebuilt too. comes with a few odd and ends like a few tires. also hes got a cd with repair books for the 200x and the 350x.

the blaster i bought and do not like so i don't even ride it. it's got a fmf fatty/power core2 pipe and some stuff done to it, was a ice racer. kinda rough condition i guess. thing just sits.

i got a 250sx and a 350x why not get a 200x! i figure i can fix and sell the 200s with hunting season and all.

the one hurdle i got is the ol lady an me got into a big fight about me getting another one...lol..i guess i just tell her it's for sale and just not try to hard to sell it.

i got a little over $600 invested in the blaster. i figure carb kit for the s and a full rebuild for the x once i sell the s.

what would you's do?

NO not a fair trade. if the X was in great shape and the 200s in good shape then yea but. you shoudl get both bikes AND about $600 in the trade or you'll loose out. your 01 blaster is worth about $1850-$2400 depending on condition and options.

seeing you got an extra $600 you definatly need to not do the deal.

i'll try post the pic's of mine and his. last time it cut em off sorry ahead of time if it does it again.

the $600 is how much money paid for the blaster, i've been trying to sell it for like $800 no one wanted it.

all the ones i see on CL look better and they want under $1,000! i'm not too sure about that blaster how long it'll hold together, it was used for racing.

mine needs a rear caliper front sprocket, seats tore up......i figure i can sell the s for 400-500.

but if ya's don't think it's a good idea i ain't gunna do the deal, i'm just getting into owner ship of machines my parents wouldn't let me and now i got my own place with a garage so any advice i'll take.

You must be thinking Banshee.... no way is an 01 Blaster worth anywhere near that. Maybe a grand at most.

they were only 3000 new back in the day. the newer style blasters go for around 2000-2500 though

I wouldnt make that trade. Just keep trying to sell your blaster and ask him how much he wants for just the 200x.

hes been asking $800 for the x with the extra 200s motor to make it a auto-x he just threw in the other wheeler on the offer. how much you think a x is worth if it needs to be rebuilt? i think i mighta got screwed a little on the 350x i just picked hate for it to happen again.

a guy offered me 750 and i passed, thats when i just put it up and i figured i would get more.....wish i would have taken it....i'm thinking about asking the local used atv store if they would take it for credit, only if i can order new stuff to redo the 350x.

I wouldn't do it.
You should list it further down in Michigan, they go for about a grand or better around here.
If worst comes to worst, you can come down and ride for a day and then sell it.

i would never trade a blaster for a smoker 200x and some junk pile 200, you will have way more fun with the blaster than you will spending loads of cash to fix the trikes

So if you were to sell this 200x you would ask $200 as long as it continues to run like a champ ? Because I want to be first on the list . If not maybe you should post what you feal it is worth in the shape it is in instead of what you paid shens shens

i read his add on Craigslist for the 200x sounds like maybe a $200 trike, i think he wants like $750 for it and a bunch of junk parts and a nonrunning 200s. For what it will take $ wise to make that 200x decent, not perfect you can easily find anouther one. You would not want a sled for trade would you. I have some friends at church that there kid is looking for an entry level atv, and I am trying to help them out. I have mostly vintage sleds but I do have a few newer ones late 80's early 90's.

blasters around here in my area get well over 1k. not sure why but anythign with 4-wheels has 2Xs the cost of 3 or 2.

for instance 84 honda 250sx quad. $1400 was the lowest i saw on CL.

pipeline, i was thinking about trading for a sled but i need cash a lot more then the sled right now.

i just tore apart a 350x i got and the blaster was gunna pay for a lot of the parts.

i told him i'd take the 200x and $500 for the blaster....he offered all the stuff and $150. still gunna pass on it. thanks for the advice guys.....i'd be kickin my self in the a@* today workin on them things...lol,

i traded my hoyt hunting bow ($400ish) and $200 for the blaster.

i had it posted at $1,000 obo.....i'd take $750, passed on it the first time wont do it again. i wanna have the 350x done for spring/summer.

I think your offer of $500 and the 200x for your blaster is a fair trade. The 200x is in very rough shape.
