Gonna replace the brake pads on the X real soon for the first time since ive had it, and have been looking on ebay. Budgets pretty tight right now truck payment and been buying a whole bunch of parts for the 350x, so i narrowed it down to these 3. Not the best i know but i just need something thatll get the job done, dont ride that much anyway

I stick with EBC sintered metal. Do you really need the fronts too? I've still got my original pads on the front showing little wear.

those are pretty good deals, I just paid over 30 for oem honda rears for the x. Was also wondering how these cheaper pads perform. Try em out, for that price, and if you dont ride much they should work fine. Then you could right a review.:D

Cheap pads give you cheap compound. Then it heats up faster and when wet, doesn't stop as well and they don't last as long.....

You get what you pay for and fortunately OEM holds up very well as well as any of the severe duty pads......

I just weld steel plates and a bar to the foot peg like the old school go carts.

I bought these a few months back for my 86 200x. I have rode it alot and the brakes seem to be holding up great. They stay cool and work nice. When wet they do not grab as hard right away but still enough to stop you good. They did take a little while to break in, which it says they do. I am very happy with them and plan on buying another set for a 85 200x that I will be getting in a week or so.

I just put these "organic" brake shoes on the back of my BR, never tried them yet, ill let you know how they turn out. I have emgo's on the front.

I did the set from bikerchicks on my black R and the wife's blaster in the spring. They seem to be holding up rather well and I didn't notice any difference in braking performance (recreational riding) from stock.
I'm in a different camp on the longevity issue, I'd rather have pads wear out faster, It forces you to replace them more often and gives you a reason to remove the caliper and lube the pins and sliders. At that price they could get replaced every year and just call it preventitive maintainance.
