Anyone ever get a cam from them? How you like it? Thinking about getting one for my 250sx.

ANY cam is gonna perk things up..........

If your dead set on this, I'll find the grind I used and I used the 2MM over Rocky piston which was also 10.5:1 I believe. I only used that because it was 25$ on sale and then someone bought the rest of them up real fast :D

But if you change that cam, you have to be willing to also change to a high comp piston, harden your rocker arms, jet and or increase the carb size, add a better flowing exhaust and heavy duty valve springs and retainers, the cam itself can't be used to it's full potential without it's compliments........ It's like getting a great hot dog at "The Varsity" in Louisiana without any toppings

In addition to that list are oversized valves and porting which really seem to wake things up.

I have your 250SX and it has everything I listed in phase one. I do not have oversized valves or porting. It GOES, it goes very well; BUT, the gearing limits it as well as the suspension.

I'm glad I did it, it's cool.... But that 600$ it ran me could have been used elsewhere and on a machine that was easier to modify.

For me, it was time to get a more sport/racing bred machine.

Jetting the carb, and putting a Cobra exhaust on it. Im getting the one that says you don't have to bore, or do valve work. The step down one. Don't want to mess with the head because its alredy in good shape. Just looking to pick up some power at the bottom end.

i think a dg will gain you more power thier headers are twice the size of stock

Trust me, the Cobra can be jetted way up and performs just as well.

The header on either pipe isn't any more than 1/8th inch larger than stock. The difference is in the larger output of the silencer. Take off the airbox lid and fatten up the main jet and the pilot just 1 or 2 sizes.......

Those chrome DG's look like garbage in a year if you ride......

They're both obnoxiously loud but they do offer power gains :D

i run a web cam, I really like it on my 200E big red. It's CNC ported and polished, stage-3 web cam, hardened rockers, perfomance springs and titanium retainers. i got a weisco 10.25:1 piston and used a cometic thin gasket to get me to like 10.5-10.8:1 compression.

Sorry, it has a good clyinder and piston. I really don't want louder, just want better perfomance, and mine is rotted out, therefore I think the Cobra is the better option. Let you guys know how it turns out. Hopefully post pics soon of my rebuild. Stay tuned.
