whats the best handlebars

whats the best handlebars for my 200x? I just bent the shiit out of my OEM ones and I am looking for like aftermarket bars like renthal, pro taper or moose. What do you guys recommend?

I have pro taper fat bars on mine with adapters. The bend is "CR high" . I really like them.

Personally I like Fly taper bars... I used to have a pair in Mini High bend that I used on my snowmobile. Any of the good brands should be just fine for you. Watch out in crashes and rollovers, though, as aluminum bars tend to snap where steel ones bend.

Renthal, 400EX bend or ATV high, I like a taller feel to my bars so when standing I'm not reaching too far. My other R has a really old set of sand scortcher steel bars, almost an identical bend to them as the Renthals.

I run all differant makes of bars on all my sport stuff. but they are all aluminum and a low dirt bike bar. I like the control of a wide low bar. plus being 6'2" it gives me some extra arm room.

I think everyone has a different bar preference based on looks, function and price. That said, here's what I run on my '86 R. I really like them and they do everything the manufacturer claims to do.

Fasst Flexx bars (not misspelled btw).

Even though these are mounted on custom triples (by Jason Hall here on this board) they do mount into stock triples as well.

The Moose or MSR aluminum bars aren't too bad and about 35$, they do bend though and I avoid the steel bars completely, although at least you can bend them back :D

We're all in different situations, being the type of riding we do and the amount of cash we have to spend. I feel like when I spend good money on parts like brakes, clutches, bars, fork boots/seals etc etc; They seem to last and hold up very well and thats with harsh/tough riding.

If your just putting around, and it's not in your budget, the cheaper parts may work just fine for you :beer

Ya cheaper is always better on a budget. I wouldnt spend much on bars because whatever I buy I will end up bending them again. When you ride hard on trails you tend to roll it once in a while with a 200x and that usually bends the bars. Ill have to look into the moose and MSR bars. Thanks

1BFC, those Fasst Flexx bars look really sweet, and I have the magazine in atv action when they first came out a few years ago. I read all there was to read, and I thought the built in "suspension flex", and the fact that it was adjustable at that was a great thing. The price tag back then was around $300, and a little out of my price range for a handle bar. Anyways, I never really see anyone around here riding with them, or talking about them. What are your guy's opinion on this state - of - the - art bar, and how much of a difference does it actually make? Thanks a lot, ------- Jon.

They really do everything that the manufacturer claims in my experience with them. The hits that might possibly hurt your wrists get soaked up and over all fatigue from riding hard is just over all much less. Not to mention that they are really hard to break/bend since they just flex when stressed.

I like them, but they are still expensive. I run the 14 degree ATV variety. Perhaps someone else will chime in about them.

Yea Moose and the MSR carbon steel bars are pretty much the same thing. Cheap but they get the job done. Cant really go wrong.
