hey guys its been a little while and have donw a lot with my wheeler so far. just though i would let you all see what i have been up to in my garage lately with my wheeler. i am sure some of you remeber the POS when i bought her for $100 from a redneck who left her outside for about 10 yrs.

Ok here we go

this is how i bought her for $100
http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e136/mmiguy2103/DSC00796.jpg

as you can see she has been neglected for a while!

here are a couple of up to date pics taken yesterday and today when i got the new itp rims and tires
got everything brand new! everything on this baby has been glassbeaded by me and powdercoated by me. everything down to the foot peg assy taken apart and PC. just got my buffing wheel back from a friend so i can buff the entire frint end aluminum to a nice shine!

http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e136/mmiguy2103/DSC00906.jpg

even took apart the rear shock with a home made spring compresser to paint and PC the spring! the shock was suprisingly still working decent, enough for a 250sx rear end!

That looks great! Do you work at a place that does powdercoating or how did you did something as large as the frame?

no i own all my own equipment to do powdercoating. bought a big sand blaster for the small parts and have a large blast tank for big stuff like frames etc. and i have a old pizza oven i bought yrs ago thats modified with all the middle section removed so i can fit large stuff liek frames in it.

no problem. i went through a good company that i do a lot of business with all the time. they have great costomer service and very nice prices and they mounted the tires on the rims and added 2 valve for free to. and the shipping was FREE!

the rims were upgraded from the stock 8 inch dia. to a 9 inch dia. to make them matsh the front 200x rims a little better.

the rims were ITP T-9 Pro Series
Wheel Size - 9"x9" 3+6 offset (stock) 4/110 (bolt pattern) part #T914110

the tires i got are a off brand but very light ( lighter that mud lites) and have a very good tread wear rating. they are -

Super Grip Super Light
Tire Size:22-11-9 part #221109SL

i have ran these tires on my other 250sx befor and i absolutely loved them, they hook up great on dry dirt and are amazing in the mud.

Looks good! Very similar to what I did with my SX... I was debating between red and black for the swingarm, it's good to have something to compare it to now. Here's a few pics of mine:

well i can tell you right now its not worth it lol. by the time you pay for me and then the shippping here and back.. its cheaper to get a local company to do it. I charge about the same as most local shops do. around $150 for full frames. but yea like i said check your local PC companys lol

When you say dump money into the engine, are you going to give it any hop ups or just a stock rebuild? I ask only cause i have a 250sx and would be interested in what you may do.
Sweet build by the way

Looks amazing! I wish I could powdercoat my stuff, im debating on stripping EVERYTHING off and sanding it all down and whatnot, but dunno if I trust myself enough to remember what goes where LOL!

If i may make a suggestion for the engine i would say paint the jug and head black. Have gking polish your side cases and starter and then clear powder them so they wont fade. I think that would really stand out and look sharp. The red frame showcasing the black being set off by chrome. Whatcha think?

i do like it a lot, i was thinking of glass beading the cases and the top end and pretty much clearing over that with powder coat. not quite decided.. that or go semi gloss black with the fins on the head grouns down to polished alum. the stok look.
