There have been numerous dual plug heads kicking around here.

The TC 200X racing head is one that comes to mind.

Who would think that another spark would make a difference but apparently it does!! :D

TYLER - maybe 250Rmanfmf (????) had the TC head, I think DALE or dizasterfun69's dad may have had one too or bought it from him, or sold it to him.............. I give up, sorry for being useless :)

I imagine you just run another coil wired in parallel to the CDI output.........

The 250 Odyssey had a head that held 2 plugs but only ran 1 at a time. I guess the idea was if you fouled 1 you could just swap the coil wire over.

Are you talking Honda line stock?...or aftermarket?....

You can see the 2 plug holes in this auction picture but now I also see it on has 4 head studs.

...but what if you ran a coil wire to both?

my mx 74 mx 100 had 2 hole but one was for spare plug and easy access for timing purpose??? Actually, it was just a normal plug but we put a spare spark plug in it. Not in position to actually do anything though????

In the airboating community a lot of people take gpu 220 engines out of ground power aircraft generators to put on their boat because they are cheaper than a yellow tagged aircraft engine. it's essentially the same as a 470 aircraft but it has single plug cylinders instead of duals. Everybody that adds a second magneto and adds a second set of plugs gets an increase of power. It's usually the first thing done to a gpu when it gets put on a boat.

I had an OLD yamaha yz 250. I think it was late seventies that had a similar setup.

I, have had a few old bikes, with the dual plugs, 1 Coil lead, Yea the idea is you have a plug crap out , ya swap it over, If your Jetted right for the application, Now running 2 plugs at the same time opposed to each other, You get a more complete burn of the fuel/air, Get 2 flame fronts That burn around the Combustion area and collide halfway- according to the theory, Which produces More Energy and makes that piston move faster, So said.

the sole purpose if there is a plug wire for each is for a more complete cleaner burn. some cars had this and being 4 stroke one would fire on the compression stroke and one would fire on the exhaust stroke for better emissions.
