Hey guys I found me a stroker motor for my 200x. One of my dads old riding buddies had an 83 200x back in the day that he used to race. He had his motor shipped off to Arizona and had a stroker crank put in it. He also professionally ported everything, put a big cam in it, lightened the flywheel and many other things he was telling me about. He said that his bike would outrun stock 250r's until they finally got him in top end! I cant wait to go pick this thing up and put the motor in my 85. He says it doesnt smoke and still runs awesome! But i know it will probably need freshened up soon. It requires a special piston for the stroker crank. Can you still find special pistons for the strokers? Any help is appreciated. Thanks alot, collin

it's fast if it outran a stock 250R ... from a 19 h.p. 200x engine ... maybe 25 h.p. bored and stroked ... I dunno ...

Its probably a powroll stroker and they should be able to supply a piston for it still . You could always take a wiseco and have the top of the piston machined down and have the piston skirt cut so it wont hit the crank . Post pics when you get it .

Not all strokers are the same . You will need to see what you have befor you jump the gun . The early 200x strokers that I have seen come from powroll are etched on the outer part of the crank telling you what it is (probably a 6mm) and the date it was made and even which guy made it . It will be visable when the cylinder is pulled off without opening the cases .

yea thats what i was thinking. I knew there would be different kinds of strokers. Im just going to keep it the way it is until i have to redo the motor. Once I get it open i will start the search for the right piston.
