View Full Version : Zinger lacking power on top end...

So I picked up a zinger a couple weeks ago... Only rode it once, and tookit apart... PO had hacked the exhaust off, and the neck bearings were trashed... So I put it all back together and fired it up... Seems to run decent on the bottom and middle range throttle, but seems to be rich on the top end... I did put a uni filter on it, ditched the oil injection and put a oem exhaust back on it... Do the zingers lose top end power when the exhaust starts getting plugged? Or could that be a fouled plug? Any input would be appreciated...

the zingers have a limiter on the top end .... they run strong till the limiter kicks in then they kinda stutter ... all of mine do it ... they act like their floodin or something similiar ... but it's a factory limiter .

In this post, it was clogged exhaust.

Send a PM to Bryan Raffa and see if he has time to talk to you over the phone or something, he's very good with many things, the Zinger being just one :D

Drilled out the expansion chamber... Ran even worse... Threw in a new plug, no change... Pulled off the silencer, wheelie city!!!! Need to pick up some oven cleaner now....

That little thing is way more dangerous than my BR is... Tipped it over twice today... I have tipped it over more times than I have ridden it now...

Has anyone figured out some wheel spacers for the zinger yet?
