Was there ever a 250sx quad?

I didnt think there was just the 200sx. But anyway my friend has this quad in his barn he has no idea bout them. Right away i notice the tank on it is the same as the trike 250sx. So i jumped on it and kicked it over and the kicker goes down easy( low comp.?) Im the only one out of all my friends that likes trikes? But anyway he said hes gonna probobly junk tht and a polaris sled. I was like if your gonna junk the quad ill buy it...so i might change it back to a trike if i get it...

its most likely a 200sx or 250es i don't know alot about quads, i think the low compression is most likely a bent valve thats what it was for me with my 200es or could be a head gasket. it most likely is a production quad and not a conversion one question was it shaft driven?

not sure about the shaft but on it it said 250sx

They made the 250sx quads Im not sure if it was still called an sx but it could have been. It was the same engine rear end as the atc just a trx. I had one a few years ago.

I picked up an 85 250SX with the conversion kit. Still had the original tank and rear plastics on it.

Probably a conversion. There wasn't a quad named a 250sx but there was the utility one MikeProc posted named the FourTrax 250 made from 85-87. Didn't have a 250sx tank though.

TRX200SX engine is like the 86-87 200X in terms of mounting, only it is pull/electric start, reverse, and semi-auto. Chain driven. TRX250 was the 250es/sx equivalent in quad terms. But like posted, they were only around 2-3 years, and then the TRX300 came out.

Could be a conversion or a quad, either way if he's going to junk it, it should be saved.
