It is a 1984 TRX 200, Shaft drive with reverse. I got it from a buddy for fixing his 85 TRX 250 Big Red. Its in ROUGH shape, he got it on a deal with the big red for $100.00 (I Think). The guys rode it, the guy with the 200 went in the river, and it sat in the river for about an hour or two. The guy wanted nothing to do with the quads after that, and sold them to my buddy.
I got the quad without a whole top end, and the crank was filled with water... Carb is there but no Exhaust. So when i get a minute i'm gonna start tearing it apart and put my other projects aside, because i might be able to actually afford this one... (250R performance parts are REALLY expensive :( )

Itrike said he has a ATC 200 frame and front end that i would like to get my hands on, and turn this viscous 4 wheeled machine back into a 3 legged monster.

(Does anyone know the official Title for the quad is it a 200sx?)

Pics soon

The TRX 200 with shaft drive, was only made in 84. Same engine as the 84 200es.

The TRX 200sx is chain drive, made in 86-88

The TRX 200 Fourtrax was made 90-91

The TRX 200d Fourtrax Type II was made 91-97

Sorry for the information overload, but I just went through this, same model as yours.

No the TRX 200 was Honda's first quad, made in 84. Not a conversion.

I believe that it is a 84 TRX 200. It is shaft drive and I am going to be implementing the quad parts into a trike. Don't push me into the quad central!
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

I'm turning a trx 200 into a ATC 200es. I believe.

Pics tonight. I promise.

I agree people love those old Honda utility quads. I regularly see the TRX 200, FourTrax 250 and 350 from the 80's bring good money on CL and eBay. Usually around the same money that a 15 year newer Recon or Rancher brings.
