Ever since I bought my 200ERN two years ago it never has liked to idle. When cold, it seems to idle fine. After it warms up though, half the time you stop it will idle for a few seconds, then the rpms will slowly drop and it will either idle really low or die. When restarting it, you have to give it a little bit of throttle to get it to start and idle. The thing runs great other than that, so I'm stumped as to what it can be. If I turn up the idle screw to compensate for it, the next cold start will have it idling way too high. Is there anything I could check that would be causing this problem? It's really a pain when you need to stop for a few seconds, only to have the trike die.

One other thing I've noticed is it does not like idling on an incline at all. If you're stopped on a hill it won't idle for more than a second or two. I'm sure this is probably a carb issue, but would like some input! Thanks!

Have you tried adjusting the cable where it goes into the top of the carb? There is a nut you can turn out to increase idle, and the other nut locks it there, so it dosnt move. It may have a rubber boot covering the top of the carb, so just pull that up, and you will see what im talking about. It may be easier if you remove the fuel tank. Its best to adjust when the engine is running, so you can tell where its at. Good luck. Let me know if this helps.

I haven't tried that, but would that be any different from adjusting the idle screw on the carb? Seems like they would both just open up the slide a little bit more.
