here are the trikes that you kind people have helped me with. for the most part they are done mechanically. the 110 i got for $350 and spent $19 on some cam tensioner parts. the big red i got for $300 and spent $39 on a drive shaft. forgive me for not washing them yet

looks good, I like your bikes. Dammmmmm good deals for those prices for those bikes, so did you just replace the shaft or was the differential in good shape? either way congrats, looks good and keep up the good work!

thanks , i just replaced the shaft. the one it had on it was sheared in half right behind the splines. the diff seems to be in good shape. the oil in it was real clean. it jerks when you take off fast in 1st gear. i could see that being the reason behind the broken shaft. hopefully its the auto clutch that i will try and adjust tomorrow. i sure hope the jerking isnt a problem in the rearend. there was no play in the shaft when i stuck it in the diff, so i think im good if i can get the clutch correct.

It's all about being in the right place, at the right time. I think anyone with more than one bike, has figured that out by the second one.

When you put the Big Red in gear and rock it back and forth, does the rear end have a lot of slop?

well, when its off and in gear it rolls backward freely but not forward. i dont know how to tell how much slop there is

I thought for sure it would have resistance both ways. I'll have to try that on mine tomorrow.

Edit - Mine is the same way.
